A little bit about me:

School/Work:

My name is Shauna and I am a senior majoring in communication and history. I also have a minor in political science. After I graduate in May I plan on going to get my MBA. I am looking into Austin, Florida, and North Carolina schools …someplace warm. During the summer I interned with Regent Broadcasting and was lucky enough to be offered a position at JACK FM. I love my job so far, and would like to work for a broadcasting company (either television or radio) after grad school. I am also a nanny for a 15 month old little boy and I have been with that family for a little over a year now. As you can see I am a pretty busy person.

Other interests:

As you can imagine working for a radio station, music is a huge part of my life. I love all different kinds of music but some of my favorites include: The Doors, Pink Floyd, Fiona Apple, Dave Matthews Band, Smashing Pumpkins, Pearl Jam, Led Zeppelin etc.

This is such a beautiful song called Never is a promise, it's once of my favorites...

Some other things I enjoy doing are cooking. I love Italian food…and wine! I wasn’t very good when I started but since this is the third year I’ve had to cook myself I’ve begun to get the hang of it.

I also love to watch movies. Most people make fun of me because I love anything with Al Pacino. I really like dramas but I’m not really into chick flicks even though I am a girly- girl. I absolutely hate scary movies…usually when people hear this they just try harder to get me to watch them.

I also love to go out with my friends, we always have fun and find something to do even when it’s 20 degrees out ( drunken sledding anyone?...actually I don’t recommend that haha.) But really I have made some awesome friends at UB and I have wonderful friends back home that visit a lot…im going to miss them all when I go to grad school.

I actually do like to read a lot as well. Being a history major if you don’t like reading you will want to shoot yourself (trust me.) I only really read what I love during the summer because during the school year I usually have too much going on. Some of my favorite authors are Alice Sebold, Anne Moody, Isabelle Allende, and Arthur Golden.

Lastly I love the ocean and the beach. I really like warm weather which explains why I chose Buffalo for school? Well at least I hope to get it right with grad school!
